Photography was my first love. I started in high school where I learned to load 35mm film cartridges, process and print in the dark room. I discovered the Yashica T4 in 1998. The snapshot allowed me to capture the moments, things and compositions that happen too quickly, and develop my own 'taking mental notes' way of shooting and interpreting as I move and see. My photography is performative in the present, and continues to tell stories beyond me.
I was first published in 1999 in the NYC art publication zing Magazine. My first solo exhibition was presented by Vice Magazine in 2000. I was a Surface Magazine Avantguardian in 2002. In 2006, I published my first photographic monograph, Pees On Earth (Miss Rosen Edition/powerHouse Books). I self-published my second book in 2010.
I shoot for myself and others.
