LIfe casts of the artist in her own formulated ink are built up in layers in plater molds and dried. It is reinforced with fiberglass on the interior where tubing is housed. Liquid ink continually emerges from the sculpture's breast into a bowl positioned four feet ahead before circulating back through the Ink Body, transforming the sculpture into a living fountain. The nine-foot tall figure stands atop a Robert Morris L-beam shaped pedestal that also acts as a conceptual touchstone, acknowledging the legacy of the male artist heros that influence Jong's practice, as she rewrites those inheritances through ink.
